2.3. Unable to print using the Photocopier application

Issue Summary:

When attempting to use the Photocopier from the Launch menu in Kurzweil 1000, scanning works properly, but printing the scanned copy will not function.


  1. Login to your machine as a local Administrator account
  2. Close out of Kurzweil 1000 if it is open
  3. Using Windows Explorer, navigate into your C:\Program Files (x86)\Kurzweil Educational Systems\Diags folder
  4. Launch Register.exe using Run As Administrator (Shift + F10, A, Enter)
    • Note:  This software does not use Text To Speech.  A screen reader will be necessary for navigation.
  5. Choose the "Browse for File" button
  6. Navigate into C:\Program Files (x86)\Kurzweil Educational Systems\Common Files
  7. Select the file "AccessibleImage.dll" and press Enter
  8. Choose the "Register" button (A small dialog box should appear that says Registration Succeeded)
  9. Choose the "Close" button
