The Kurzweil 3000 (K3000) software may range from 1 to 2 GB in size. If you have a slow internet connection, downloading Kurzweil 3000 may take up to several hours. If you're having problems downloading Kurzweil 3000, the tips in this article can help you.

Make sure to download the version and edition that you own. So if you own K3000 v22 Standalone, make sure to download that. You will know if you have a Standalone because you will have a serial number and Kurzweil will not ask you to login when you launch it after registration. If you have a username and password that allows you to log in to Kurzweil3000.com, you need the subscription version.
Downloading Tips:
1. When possible, download from a computer with a wired connection instead of a wireless connection as this is a more stable connection type.
2. We recommend using the Chrome Browser for the download process.
3. If you are on a wireless connection and experiencing slow or incomplete downloads, try getting closer to your wireless router.
4. If a wired connection is not possible and you are not having any success downloading via a wireless connection, we suggest to download the software on another machine with either a better wireless connection or preferably a wired connection. The next step would then be to save the completed download to a USB drive, and finally bring the USB with the downloaded file on it to the computer that you need to install K3000 ON.

6. If downloading does not appear to be possible, you will need to install from the K3000 DVD. If you do not have a DVD drive you may need to plug in an external DVD drive to use the DVD method.
