2.22. Single Sign On (SSO) Solutions
Single Sign On (SSO) is the linking of the Kurzweil 3000 user database with a customer’s internal user management system. SSO allows a customer to make use of their school credentials instead of needing to remember a new set of credentials specific to Kurzweil 3000. Each SSO solution has its own implementation steps, requirements, and benefits.
Which Kurzweil 3000 editions offer SSO?
We are consistently monitoring customer needs and expanding SSO solutions for Kurzweil 3000 when possible. The SSO solutions noted below are currently supported.
Kurzweil 3000 Subscription/Web License
Available for site/district license customers that meet implementation requirements.

SSO Solutions
We currently support the SSO solutions noted below for Kurzweil 3000 Web License Subscription Site or District License customers that meet implementation requirements. The solutions marked ‘recommended’ are typically faster to implement and require less ongoing administration.
Google OAuth2 [Recommended]
Google SSO (“Sign In with Google”) offers a range of benefits to Kurzweil 3000 Site or District Web License customers that use Google Workspace.

ClassLink OAuth2
ClassLink SSO allows customers using ClassLink LaunchPad and ClassLink Roster Server to login through the Kurzweil 3000 app within ClassLink LaunchPad.

SAML 2.0
SAML SSO allows for the secure exchange of authentication data between the customer and a service provider. A customer must have a SAML identity provider, provide metadata, and regular roster uploads for implementation.
