A description of these formats is below:

.kes  - Kurzweil Document format. Converted image documents and newly created Kurzweil files use this format.

.k3c - Kurzweil Column Notes file.

.k3b - Kurzweil Document auto-backup file.

.txt - Text files (i.e. files created in Notepad)

.rtf - Rich text files (i.e. files created in Wordpad)

.doc - Microsoft Word (older versions of Word)

.docx - Microsoft Word (newer versions of Word)

.epub - EPUB documents (Note: file extension must end in .epub to be supported)

.opf - DAISY file format.

.bks - Compressed DAISY. This is sometimes used as a Bookshare/Kurzweil package format, if you rename a Bookshare.zip package to Bookshare.bks, Kurzweil3000.com and Kurzweil Windows/Mac can open this format.

.pdf - *Adobe PDF documents

.jpg .jpeg .png .bmp .tif - *Image file formats (i.e. taken with a camera that saves picture files)

.htm .html .xml - Web page formats.

(*Note: If you open a .pdf or other image type file directly into kurzweil3000.com, it will not be available on the Kurzweil side unless you open it at least once in kurzweil3000.com first)
