If your scanner is having difficulties scanning directly into Kurzweil 3000 (K3000), before you attempt troubleshooting utilizing the ScanConf.exe diagnostic app (noted in other articles), it is recommended to replace the TwainInterface.ocx file on your computer. This file controls how K3000 interfaces with your scanner's TWAIN driver.
Download the attached TwainInterface.ocx (updated for K3000 v14, 2015) file and Copy and Replace it in Program Files (x86)\Kurzweil Educational Systems\Common Files folder on your computer.
