2.15. Error "Data is invalid" & "Cannot open requested item"

Issue:

Kurzweil 3000 Web License client users receive "Data is invalid" when attempting to launch Kurzweil 3000. They then receive an error stating "Cannot open the requested item" when attempting to open all .kes files.

Solution:

The user profile is corrupt and needs to be deleted/replaced. Please delete the following files:

Note: The above locations are typically hidden and you may need your IT team for assistance.

With that being said, if you are the administrator for your computer:

1. Use your run command(Start > Search for Run) or use the keyboard shortcut Windows Key + R.

2. Next type below into your run box and press enter:

%appdata%\kesi\Kurzweil 3000\ 

3. Delete your username folder here.

For the K3000Versions.k3v file:

1. %appdata% from the run command

2. Navigate to the "Local" Folder from the address bar.

3. Navigate to KESI\Kurzweil 3000

4. Delete the K3000Versions.K3v file if present

Try running Kurzweil and opening files after following the above steps.
