Applies to Versions: Kurzweil 3000 for Windows

Issue Summary:

When attempting to create an MP3 audio file through the File -> Audio Files -> Create Audio File option, the MP3 file will hang in the Pending Queue, be incomplete during playback, or not get created at all.

Troubleshooting Steps:

1. Verify you are running the latest patch for your version of Kurzweil 3000

1. Log in as the Administrator account on the machine

2. Launch Kurzweil 3000 (You may want to try launching Kurzweil 3000 using the right-click Run As Administrator option on the Kurzweil 3000 icon on your desktop)

3. Go to Help -> About Kurzweil 3000 and verify the version of Kurzweil 3000 that is currently installed, for example, Kurzweil 3000 v22.06.

4. While connected to a working internet connection go to Online -> Updates to begin a search for any more recent updates. If you receive an error from the search you can manually download/install updates here. If you choose to install the update using the manual method, please close Kurzweil first before installing the update. After installing the update, skip to step 8.

5. If any updates are found check the box next to the most recent version for you Kurzweil 3000 language and choose OK to begin the download.

6. When the download completes a dialogue box will appear stating that the download finished and that you must close Kurzweil 3000. Choose OK on this dialogue box and then close Kurzweil 3000.

7. Upon exiting Kurzweil 3000 the patcher will run (if it does not run automatically, press the Setup button that appears on the screen)

8. Once the patcher is complete, launch Kurzweil 3000 again.

9. Go to Help -> About Kurzweil 3000 and verify that the version of Kurzweil 3000 has been updated.

3. Delete the contents in the following folder:
