1.44. Languages not supported through OCR

Issue:

Certain languages do not get recognized properly or cause an application crash when they are selected through the Recognition Settings > Language option.

Solution:

We do not currently support any language characters that are not a part of CP-1252 (more information on this character encoding here). This includes the following:

Arabic
Chinese
Japanese
Korean
FineReader XIX
Thai
Vietnamese
Hebrew
Yiddish

Please ensure that these languages are not selected within your Kurzweil 3000/1000 application under Recognition Settings > Language.
