Kurzweil 3000 Standalone or Network Edition

If you use the Read the Web extension with the Standalone or Network Edition, requests for TTS are processed locally and leverage the installed Kurzweil 3000 desktop app (Win).

                Requests for TTS are processed locally.

Kurzweil 3000 Web License Subscription

If you use the Read the Web extension with a Web License Subscription account (kurzweil3000.com), the TTS requests are sent to the TTS service running on our servers. Other than minimal logging, no information is stored on individual TTS requests.
