2.11. Guide: How to add Home Screen shortcut on iPad/iPhone
If you'd like to be able to access kurzweil3000.com directly from your iPad/iPhone Home Screen, without having to first launch your browser and navigate to a bookmark, the steps required are reliant on your preferred web browser. Please find your browser below and follow the steps to get this configured:
Safari:
- Launch Safari
- Navigate to https://www.kurzweil3000.com
- Press the Share button in the top right corner of Safari
- Choose 'Add to Home Screen'
- Choose 'Add'
Google Chrome:
Requires the use of the 'Shortcuts' app which is available by default in iOS v13 and above. If you're running iOS v12, or you can't find the 'Shortcuts' app, you can get it from the Apple App Store here: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/shortcuts/id915249334
- Open Shortcuts app
- Go to My Shortcuts and tap the '+' icon
- In the search bar, type 'Safari'
- In the 'Actions' list, choose 'Open URLs' or 'Open Links'
- In the 'Open URL' section, type in the URL 'googlechromes://www.kurzweil3000.com'
- Click on the ellipses icon '...' next to 'New Shortcut'
- Give the shortcut a name
- Choose 'Add to Home Screen'
- Give the final shortcut name and icon that will be visible on the Home Screen
- Choose 'Add'
