3.7. Guide: Running a report using the Kurzweil 3000 Network Administrator

Steps for Running a Report using the Kurzweil 3000 Network Administrator

1. Physically (not remote) Log into the server as an administrator with the network engine on it. Do not use the Remote Administrator, or any other Remote software to log in to your Kurzweil server.

2. Launch the Kurzweil 3000 Network Administrator

3. Go to the Tools tab and down to Options...

4. Verify that the Network Engine Address is 127.0.0.1 (loop-back address)

5. Go to the Tools tab and lock the Network Engine

6. Disconnect any user in the users window

7. Go to the Reports tab and down to "Update Database"

8. Go to the Reports tab and "Run Report"

Troubleshooting Tips if the Report will not run

• Navigate to Tools -> Options..., and make sure Log User Statistics is check marked
• Log into the network engine machine as the administrator
• Do not use the remote administrator to run the report
• Make sure all users have write permissions to the users folder, located here or the equivalent: C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\KESI\Kurzweil 3000 Server\Users
